Admission Process:
1. An application for admission needs to be completed by each individual wishing to be considered for admission to the Community. A medical evaluation form for each individual must be completed by your physician and returned with the application(s).
2. After our Admissions Committee has reviewed your paperwork and determined that our financial criteria is met, you will then be asked to meet with the Independent Living Center Clinic nurse for a medical assessment. If you meet the Functional Abilities Criteria, you will be invited to pay a refundable deposit of $1,000.00 in order to be placed on a chronological preferred waiting list. When an apartment of the type you wish becomes available, if you still meet the financial and functional qualifications, you will be notified of its availability. 3. Upon notification that an apartment is available and you have had the opportunity to examine it, you will have seven (7) business days to make a decision to accept it. If you choose to accept it, an additional payment of $9,000 is due within the next seven (7) business days. It is also expected that the Occupancy Agreement will be signed upon receipt of the payment. You will receive the keys to the apartment at the time of the signing. A copy of your durable power of attorney is required when you sign the Occupancy Agreement. 4. Full payment of the entire admission fee will be required within sixty (60) days of the signing of the Occupancy Agreement. A 1% per month interest rate will be charged on the outstanding balance after sixty (60) days.
5. Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month will be charged on any outstanding monthly fee balance.
6. The monthly fees begin on the date that the Occupancy Agreement is signed. The monthly fee is charged whether or not the apartment is occupied. For a partial month, the fee is based on the number of days remaining in the month that the Occupancy Agreement is signed.
